PIP planning and following a journey

Well we had our PIP appeal this afternoon regarding Planning and following a journey. It wasn't quite as bad as I had expected and my son coped with the questioning very well considering his mental health problems. The doctor was very probing in his questions about the level of assistance my son required and whether this amounted to encouragement or prompting. My husband was allowed to speak and a friend of my sons as well as me. We used your arguments to describe how the guidance had been changed to make it very difficult for mental health claimants to score 12 points for mobility. The judge decided that it was a complex issue and they would have to consider the law and evidence very carefully. We will be given their decision in a few days time.

Whatever happens I know we have presented the best possible case and our written submission has given them a lot to consider. This would not have been possible without Benefits and Work and the confidence I gained from this site. Many thanks.

Can i first say thankyou for all your advise and how grateful i am to too for the moderators,especially gordon.well u challenge DWP as i only got pip award for daily living,well they over turned my appeal for mobility and now get it.for planning a journey.i followed ur guide and also wrote an experience i had and how it affects me with my condition.i was also amazed to how quick it was sorted out.but if you havent off told me to phone and request my report i dont think i would of applied for it to be looked at again.
So once again thankyou you help so many people get what they deserve.
