It includes in the article... any existing DLA claimant who turns 16 years old...... My son was awarded HRC....LRM until he is almost 18 so the award is due to end in May 2017. We live in one of the postcodes mentioned and I was wondering given that he is 16 in August 2015 would this mean that the award would end just because of his age ?
Thanks in advance

The PIP Transitional specifically references child DLA claimants turning 16, so I think it likely that he will be invited to claim PIP in August 2015, however, the DWP have some flexibility as to when they actually offer the invitation and of course there will be an election before this date, so it is possible that it will be delayed, I am afraid that you/he will only know when the envelope drops through the door.
