SOR time taken was created by Starlet97
Hi there, I applied for the Statement of Reasons for my Appeal on 3rd May, 2014 and still do not have them. I contact the Tribunal Service every week to see if they have been done by the trial judge. Is there anything I can do to hasten them on as I am suffering financial hardship and need to get my Appeal lodged for a 2nd tier tribunal Appeal. So frustrated that they do not have time limits on what they provide but when it comes to the appellant, they impose time constraints on us!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am afraid there is no prescribed timescale for the Judge to provide a copy of the Statement of Reasons, however, it is unusual for it to take more than three months.

There is little that you can do to expedite its production, you can try your MP, however, as this is HM Courts and Tribunal Service they may be reluctant to interfere.

Contacting your MP

If you have only been phoning then it may be worth your while writing the TS office explain your financial situation.

I do have to warn you that even when you have received the SoR and on the assumption that you can identify an Error of Law, it will likely still be many months more before any UTT Decision is made and the most likely result is that a new FTT hearing will be required, I would be surprised if it takes less than another six months.
