I have a query which I'm unable to find help on elsewhere. I currently receive ESA on account of having a chronic pain problem; I am still in the Assessment phase, having began my claim in February.
I am now about to try to claim PIP. My question is: will the DWP's receiving of my application for PIP serve to speed up their processing of my ESA claim in any way (bring forward any ESA medical, etc) ... will it perhaps serve to remind them of the fact of my existence?!, or affect the ESA claim by any other means?
All thoughts/experiences/ideas appreciated. Thanks for reading.
ESA and PIP are completely separate benefits administered by different parts of the DWP, making a claim for PIP will have no effect, positive or negative on your ESA claim.
