How long for PIP decision? was created by bella
Hi
I have just had my PIP f2f assessment on tuesday 26th august
originally applied in Jan 2014.
would just like to know from other peoples experiences how long they have had to wait from assessment to decision?
The atos nurse said could take 5 weeks? also is their different waiting times for different parts of the country? I'm based in london does that make a difference?

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Decision are taking about 4-8 weeks after the assessment, providing that the assessor is not subject to audit, despite the benefit being "live" for nearly 18 months some assessors are still being trained and their reports are looked at by a more senior assessor before being passes to the DWP, this can add considerable time.
Give the DWP a ring, they should be able to tell you whether they have received the report or not, this will give you a better idea of when you might hear.
There may be regional variations for this part of the process but I don't think they are significant any more. Of course we are in the holiday period so this might cause some additional delays.

I anticipated it would take up to 8 weeks, so I'll chase the week after next ...
