I currently claim CB JSA and was turned down for CB ESA because of a problem with NI's which I have outlined in previous posts. I am going to claim NI credits when my 26 weeks JSA runs out in 3 weeks - I will receive no money just NI credits.

Just a thought occurred to me. Could I claim ESA credits only instead of JSA credits only. I do not meet any NI credits or means tested requirements for any type of ESA to get the money as it were but wondered if I can get ESA credits without payment just credits?

Incidentally for info my MR for PIP was submitted 01/05/14 and phoned today it's still not been decided very nearly 3 months down the line. My MP has been informed.

As far as I am aware once you only receive NI Credits for JSA, there is no requirement for you to Job Search or attend the JC+, even if you could receive NI Credits with ESA, which I am not sure you could, they are exactly the same as the JSA ones, so there is no advantage that I am aware of.

As to the MR, the DWP recently extend there guide times for MRs from 2 weeks to 4 weeks, clearly they need to go a little further.
