For those in the WRAG there is a limit of 365 days (this includes the assessment period for new claims), there is no such limit for those in the Support Group.

Little confused re this Gordon. Though this 65 eek thing is merely a rumour as yet are you suggesting it refers to WRAG group only and those subject to wfi and work programme etc.surely if here were a universal fraud referral it would encompass all 65 week claimants not just WRAG. Like you said earlier though if its someone at dwp playing mind games then what better wayGordon wrote: Tim
The "65 week rule" refers to a newspaper article in which a JC+ staff member is alleging that they have instructions to report vulnerable ESA claimants for benefit fraud when they have been in receipt of ESA for 65 weeks in an effort to force the claimants into work or off of ESA.
As you are apparently only receiving NI Credits this of no relevance to you as you are not required to attend WFIs at your local JC+ office.
If you become eligible for ESA(IR), I assume you have already checked whether you are or not, then WFIs, Work Related Activity and this "rule" would be relevant to you.

Polly Toynbee refers to an "anonymous jobcentre manager", JC+ staff deal with ESA claimants subject to WFI and Work Related Activity, also she goes onto to talk about ESA(CB) claimants reaching the end of their year of payments, so I think it is a reasonable conclusion that any reference is in regard to members of the WRAG .
