New medical problem arrising

Hello Everyone,

I am about to fill in the form, but, I am now being referred to a neurologist for a new problem which is effecting my everyday tasks. What, if any, comment would you advise I make regarding this?

Hi Rob,

As you probably know, benefits (be it ESA, DLA or PIP) are awarded due to the limitations that you have (for ESA) or care and mobility needs for DLA and PIP, rather than your specific diagnoses. If this new condition causes you extra problems then it should be included in the claim. You should explain the problems and say that this is being investigated but you don't yet have a diagnosis.

The new neurological problem is impacting pretty severely on my existing condition (bilateral Below Knee Amputee) because it is causing shaking in the legs and also most noticeably in my right hand.

We'll see what happens next LOL.

Certainly sounds as if this needs to be included on the claim forms.
