I have ME/CFS. I live in Cardiff. I made my first ever application on November 22. I'll update this forum when I have had my tribunal which I expect will not be for some months.

I received a phone call on Monday from someone at the DWP re my appeal (which has not yet gone to tribunal.) I was told they were in a position to allow my appeal - I wanted the mobility component - if I was happy to accept the lower rate. I was happy to accept that. I was told I could still change my mind if I decided to go to tribunal even after I received the letter confirming I had accepted the lower rate. I am very pleased and the gentleman from the DWP seemed very relieved and thanked me several times. They must be desperate to clear the backlog.

Hi ie,
I have merged tonight's post with your previous one on this.
Congratulations !!!
If you are happy with this revised award, that is all that matters !!
Thanks for the update.
Hopefully, you will receive any back pay owed and written clarification of the Standard Rate Mobility PIP award in the near future.
