Regarding deferrals of WCA reassessments was created by Dandelion
Hi

I am writing to ask regarding deferrals of WCA assessments.

My reassessment is due in June 2015 next year, I know that people who's reassessments are due this year will be getting theirs deferred for two years.

If a new WCA supplier takes over, say, in early 2015, does that mean that the people who's reassessments are due next year will still be reassessed at the due date?

If so, this isn't fair because a whole chunk of people will be getting deferred for two years.
Please advise?

thanks

I am afraid there is no way that we can predict what the situation will be in regard to ESA re-assessments next year, the decision to defer them is an operational one and subject to change at any time by the DWP with no requirement for them to provide notice of the change.

We believe that some areas are already doing limited re-assessments and it is reasonable to assume that this will expand as time goes on and the back logs that caused the problems are reduced.

Our best advice is to be prepared for your re-assessment to occur on the expected date.
