We have had two other members called early, at least one of them was because of the Right Payment Programme.

The Right Payment Programme

I am afraid that any stated "timetable" for transfer is purely an operational decision by the Government and the DWP, the legislation does not define an such timetable and allows the DWP to invite a DLA claimant to claim PIP at any time, subject to PIP being active in that area.

Once an invitation has been issued, a claimants DLA cannot be retained in the long term.

Your wife has four weeks from the date of the letter to start a claim for PIP, if she does not, then her DLA payments will be suspended and if no claim is started within eight weeks her DLA claim will be closed.

Please have a look at our PIP Claim guide for more details of the process.
