Hi all,

I got my PIP results at the start of March and we were busy with asking for back payments for JSA and HB from last October.

I got highest care and mobility component. I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Hypermobility and Osteoarthritis. I get meals on wheels and have got an electric wheelchair.

We love to think we have sped things up by threatening with the Ombudsman. We started the journey at the end of October and finished it start of March.

I do not know if this is a good alternative to pestering your MP... Our first appointment letter arrived 3 weeks after the scheduled date and I did not want to put up with any further nonsense and go through canceled home assessments, like a lot of the forum members.

The home assessment was quite smooth, although I was glad to have your assessment guide with my notes next to me.
Additional information, like treatment, that is other than pills, might not have even been mentioned; meals on wheels would have been forgotten and the assumption would have been made, that I cook 6 course diners in the kitchen.

All the best wishes to those who start or who are already in the process.
Never give up and do not put up with nonsense. If you do not have a husband/partner get a friend as an ally and hand over the reigns.
