The DWP call agent just said that there wasn't any update at all is this usual?
The assessment reports from home assessments have to be written up by the assessor after the interview is completed, this may take a couple of days and then of course they have to send it to the DWP, reports for assessments done at an ATOS office are electronically transferred.
Bottom line, the report should be with the DWP by now.
I would start by phoning ATOS again to confirm that the report has been sent to the DWP and when and then assumption that it is with the DWP, give then a second call with the details of when the report was provided.
I have to warn you that the call centre staff are often unable to find information from the computer system when they first look due to the way that they process information being sent to them, but with some digging they should be able to give you an answer.

As you say, ATOS do not make the Decision, it was probably just bad phraseology on their part.

Hi M,
It would certainly do no harm, however it may not necessarily have any bearing on the decision, as it is the limitations caused by the medical conditions that matter, rather than the medical conditions themselves.
If you manage to gain a new diagnosis, and/or a report or letter of support as a result of the above consultations that support the fact that you fulfill the qualifying criteria, then they should certainly be helpful with your ESA decision.
You should post copies of any letters, FAO The ESA Decision Maker at the Benefits Office/Centre address on any ESA letters that you have from the DWP, with a covering letter explaining that you wish this fresh evidence to be taken into account.
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
