PIP assessment - on the day

I am having my face to face PIP assessment next Wednesday.
I had surgery almost 5 weeks ago and this has dramatically changed my mobility and ability to do many things.
However there could be a chance that my condition could/might improve my mobility to some degree.
Am I assessed how I am on the day?
If I am asked ' how does my health affect my day to day abilities', does this mean as I am now?

Cant quite get my head around this one, my mobility was quite bad before surgery, but as I continue to recover I can hardly move at all without being in pain.

Hi Rr,

You will be assessed on your limitations at the time of The F2F, so you should knock up a written update and present it to the HCP on the day.

No one can possibly say how much improvement or deterioration there may be in the future, so you would have to report a Change of Circumstances if as a result of any improvement/deterioration your resulting limitations altered to such an extent that any PIP award that you may be given is no longer applicable.
