It is not a straight forward matter.

How much IR ESA you may be entitled to is totally reliant on your personal and financial situation.

For someone who was previously in receipt of IB with an Income Support (IS) top up, you would receive CB ESA with an IR ESA top up.

Under Transitional Protection you could not receive any less than before if are successfully transferred to ESA.

The same goes if you were receiving IS on grounds of incapacity for work.

You would be guaranteed to receive at least the same amount of IR ESA.
