i have on dla for 14 years with a indefiniitely award for high mobility and low rate care. i filled i in the form as my needs have got worse over the years . put all my medical reports in etc. i have just got a letter they will come to my home or i will have to go to a medical centre. i am rally worried as i can not understand i thought all the medical reports would be ok . i also had age uk out to my home to check the form as well. they said that should be ok and should have a problem hope someone can help
There is quite a difference between the criteria for Lower Rate Care and Middle Rate Care so it is not entirely surprising that an assessment is required, I am afraid that this is at the discretion of ATOS and cannot be challenged.
It is unlikely to be reflective of the quality of your submission or whether you meet the criteria, there has been considerable pressure, even with DLA coming to an end, for claims to be fully re-assessed to ensure that awards are made properly.
