Attendance Allowance (AA) Guide? was created by Mistymoo54
Hi, my mum would like to apply for Attendance Allowance. Is there a guide on the site for this? Thankyou.

The rules for AA are the same as those for DLA (see below), so use the DLA Claim guides

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/dla/#dlaclaims

The only differences are that there is no Lower rate of Care but it is still worth commenting on your mum's ability to prepare and cook food, and there is no mobility component so you can ignore that section completely.

Thankyou Gordon. That's very helpful. I will use the DLA guide. Yes just looking through the form and there is no mobility section so that should make it a bit easier to fill in. That's great. Thankyou again.
