Thanks all the same Gordon.
We can only inform members of the rules in regard to going abroad, as we have done on a number of occasions previously, it is up to individual members whether they follow this advice or not, however, last week we had a member who's benefit had been removed, in part because they went abroad without informing the DWP.

A temporary absence abroad for up to 13 weeks may be allowed, or up to
26 weeks if the absence is specifically for medical treatment. The claimant
should notify DWP if they are planning to go abroad for four weeks or
more.
The PIP residence and presence conditions are the same as those for
Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Attendance Allowance (AA) and Carers
allowance (CA).
The way I read this we should be able to go abroad say for two weeks with out letting the
DWP know.
Do you agree?
Thanks Bica

No, I am afraid I don't

Whether you can go abroad and how long for are a different issue from a claimant informing the DWP that they are doing so.
Just because a claimant can go abroad with their benefit does not mean that they are exempted from notifying the DWP that they are doing so.
