PIP Claim was created by Teddington
Hi,
I am very new to this site and really glad at least I found the site which can help me with this complicated procedure. I have applied the PIP back in December and finally having my medical assessment soon. It will be a home visit and really not sure what to expect therefor I will try to read as much information as I can. I am fear to do or say something wrong while I have a right to claim this, I have 3 chronic conditions which make my life very difficult to live and I don't know what would I do without my husband all this time. If I success my application for PIP how long my clam will be backdated to .?
Thank you .

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I would suggest that you have a look at our PIP Claim guide, there is a section towards the back that covers the assessment process.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

If you receive an award then it should be back dated to the date that first contacted the DWP to start the claim.

If you have any other questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help you.
