Is This My Decision Letter?

Date 10 March 2014
Dear. . .
Your Claim for Employment and Support Allowance
Changes in Social Security Benefits.
From 7 April the rates of Social Security benefit will change. . .
The next paragraph is headed:
I though this was just the annual letter re. Benefit rate changes. I phoned to ask if there has been a decision made yet after my re-assessment last year. I sent my ESA5001/13 back the end of July 2013 (it was due to be returned by 9th August) the person I spoke to said there was nothing added on the computer about me since 2010. He also said they only send letters if the benefit is going to be stopped. What to do if You Think This Decision is Wrong
If you think the decision is wrong, please get in touch with us by
telephone or in writing, within one month of the date of this letter. . .
If I act on the assumption that this is my decision letter, who do I phone and then write to, to ask for a mandatory reconsideration, given that I used the number at the top right hand of the letter to phone this morning?
I was transferred to ESA WRAG from IB in December 2011. This is my first re-assessment. I was too unwell after the initial transfer, took me months to recover, to appeal to go into the Support Group. I want to try and do so this time.
Susan.

From what you have posted and that there is no update on the DWP computer system, I believe this to be the annual uprating letter, because there is a change to the monies you receive, it becomes an appealable Decision, which is is why there is a paragraph about challenging what you will be paid from April.
The DWP are required to write a claimant whenever a new Decision on their claim is made, even if that Decision effectively results in no change to the claimants status, so when a Decision on your re-assessment is made. they should write to you about it.

Susan.
As the DWP have no information then it is likely that it is still with ATOS awaiting a decision on whether a face to face assessment is required or not, so I would give them a call.
