Hi can anyone help is it possible to receive ESA if you do not have a fit note and you stop sending sick notes to DWP over four years ago and gave up on claiming benefits as being fed up and not well to keep fighting, I would be very grateful for any help. P.S. and have not got a supportive G.P.

It is a requirement of making a new claim that you provide a medical statement that you are not Fit for Work, the DWP may accept this in other forms, but the normal expectation is that this will be a Fit Note, so if you cannot get one then you any claim for ESA will be rejected.
Is there any reason why your GP would not provide you with a Fit Note if they believe you are unable to work?
