For the last 20 or so years the increase letters have always stated "if you are still entitled to the benefit in the qualifying week then the Xmas bonus will be paid". This year that seems to have changed for some reason or other. Maybe later letters will appear.

Hello B&W
Just to add to this I got a letter from DWP and it states that from 25th November 2014 your employment and support allowance will be £118.15 a week, does that mean I get a pay rise again?
I know it's the Christmas bonus but there is no mention of that but as it reads it sounds like a pay rise!

Without knowing how your payments are made up it is impossible for us to say, even if we did, we would also need to know your personal circumstances in order to make comment which is not possible in the forum.

Hi Gordon
Sorry it was a rhetorical question, I know what it will be just they've written it wrong so it reads as if it goes up weekly after November, it's the Christmas bonus, but they don't mention it at all, sorry.

Hi, I had a similar letter last year and it is actually your usual weekly amount plus £10, but I agree it is a bit confusing. Perhaps they should change the wording a bit, just to make it less vague.
