HOW MUCH TIME TO SUBMIT MORE EVIDENCE- ESA RECON was created by QWERTY
Hi,
please can you give me an idea how long i have to send in further evidence ? I requested a late appeal and said i would send in more information after being placed in WRAG following transfer from IB to ESA.
Appeal very late due to my health situation, unsure if would be allowed to appeal,
but got letter saying if I wanted to submit any further evidence to be taken into consideration when look at decision again, but no deadline for additional evidence to go in, where to send ,
I would really appreciate any advice re
1. does DWP letter mean that I have been accepted to appeal ? My application was the old form and before the changes in oct last year
2. how long to submit further evidence eg month from date on DWP letter?
3.is appeal logged from date on my GL24 forms or date they receive GL24 form ? asking in case over year/ 13 month limit
Sorry if convoluted, I'm trying to take in various bits of info and worried to phone DWP in case not well enough to discuss details on phone. thanks to anyone who can advise, website great, wish I had known about it before ESA form

1. If the DWP have written to you in regard a Reconsideration then this should mean that your appeal has been accepted.
2. You will normally have four weeks from the date of the letter to submit and for the DWP to receive any additional evidence you have.
3. The Appeal is lodged from when the DWP office receives your GL24, this is not the day that you sent or dated the GL24 and is not the date that the DWP received the letter.
You have a maximum 13 months from the date of the letter notifying you of the Decision that is being appealed.
Have a look at our ESA Appeal guide for more information

I hope this explains it.

Hi,
just to clarify is that four weeks from the date on my letter or 4 weeks from date on DWP reply re appeal request
sorry if daft, but quite close deadline of 4 weeks since my letter to DWP and waiting on evidence from doctor
ps thanks for replying , first time poster !

Where Reconsiderations are concerned, as opposed to Mandatory Reconsiderations, there are no hard and fast rules, so I would send the information as soon as you possibly can and hopefully the DWP will take it into account when they look at the Decision again.
