DLA Desion was created by mintdrop
I have been on DLA for the last 10yrs, was recently sent DLA renewal form, which i filled in and sent back. Within 3 weeks received letter from DLA saying they have decided to stop paying me DLA. I claimed DLA because of hearing loss, which over the past year has got worse. I do not have a social life i do not use a phone, find it very frustrating communicating with people. I live my every day life in a very silent world. I depend on my family a lot. I wrote to DLA asking them to look at their decision again, and within a week letter again from DLA they are not changing their decision. Should i go for appeal now.

I am afraid that the only way your DLA will now be re-instated is for you to appeal. I am assuming this has all happened in the last few week so you should have received two copies of the Mandatory Reconsideration Notice, you need to send one with a completed SSCS1.
The following factsheet has details of the appeal process and links to the forms required.

You should also have a look at the DLA guides on the following link.

If you have any questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to answer.
