timeing of esa50

General question here, the sending out of esa50, is there a delay of them being sent out due to the backlog ? are they holding back/delaying sending esa50 for this reason ?

As I understand it when given a prognosis date for the next review normally these esa50 arrive early about two to three months in advance is this still the case or are they cutting the sending date closer to the prognosis date review.

Hi Dq,

It does seem that DWP/ATOS do have a backlog resulting in assessment periods taking longer.

We have also heard from members who have not received a new ESA50 for reassessment when they would normally expect to receive one.

I personally know of 2 people who have not yet received an ESA50, and it is 2-3 months over the 2 year prognosis of the award.

thanks for the speedy reply, here's me thinking they have forgotten all about little old me, only if !!!
I guess its from area to area where it is faster or slower the system that is, I bet now that I have mentioned it I will get a letter on the door mat tomorrow, still I have lots of garlic in the place to ward of these type of things
I will wait in the background and just wait and see what happens.
I wonder if they look at the previous prognosis and think that things wont have changed so are not so urgent to send the esa 50 out.

The garlic sounds good to me, maybe with the addition of a herd of Rottweilers !!!!!

I should imagine that any backlogs will vary regionally.

Who knows the weird and wondrous machinations of DWP/ATOS !!

12 months support group ESA is due to end on Jan 8th. Received new ESA on 10 Nov, sent back for 10 Dec. So far no appointment, anyday now?! I get the feeling they lack delays as the ESA50 was out on time. This was sent back to Chester Jupiter Drive by the way.
