What exactly does this mean? I have OCD and become very anxious when people come into my home. My main medical condition is severe rheumatoid arthritis. I am on ESA and in the wrag group. I did get middle care rate, until 10th Oct 13, when they reduced it to low care rate.
Many Thanks, Josie.

I was not going to be there. I then had a letter from Cardiff, to say they had ADJOURNED my case/hearing. They are happy to come to my home to see me to prepare a medical report for the Tribunal.

It would seem that the tribunal panel want to get more information about your medical conditions.

As AL says,
The Tribunal are saying that they require a medical report, and are willing to send a Doctor to your home to compile said medical report for them to use as evidence in coming to their decision.

You are entitled to have a family member or friend in you home at the medical visit. Plus if you have one, a representative, who again could be a friend and doesn't need to be a qualified welfare rights/benefits adviser.
I sat on DLA Tribunals for 10 years before I retired and it's quite common in DLA appeals for the Tribunal to seek a medical opinion. However, Tribunals have wide powers on what medical evidence to accept and which to reject, and the evidence that you give to a Tribunal at an oral hearing is every bit as much medical evidence than that provided by a doctor.

josie wrote: Thank you, the form I have says to sign and return within 7 days. This is for the home visit, I understand. So am I in a position to ask for a further appeal date , but to attend with my Age UK representative in the court ? Which would be less stressful ? Would they allow ans set another court date ? Many Thanks , Josie.
Once the medical has been done you will receive a copy of the new report, there will be time for you to comment on this and then a new hearing will be arranged.
