Thank you Catherine and I totally agree, it is so sad to see someone you are so close to suffering and you are almost powerless to help them. I will send another letter to Atos/DWP as you suggest and yesterday I wrote to our MP to let her know our situation. Will let you know how all this ends up.

May i also suggest that you email Dame Anne Begg MP in her capacity as chair of the DWP select committee. She is very supportive and i think would be interested in hearing about your sister's experience.

In my opinion, the fact that your sister's GP had even contacted Atos Healthcare direct should have rung 'emergency' alarm bells.

Where is the 'duty of care'?

Where are the crisis management procedures?
