Anxiety/Panic - ATOS Medical & Home Visit or Taxi was created by speedy101
Hello,
I asked for a home visit on my ESA50 and got a letter from my doctor to support this - which was returned with the completed ESA50 form.
Called up the appointment line yesterday and mentioned this and it all got a bit surreal.
They seamed to know nothing of this & told me they had to check with another department that they had received this letter. Fine, that came back that they had received something (didn't say what though). I was then told that the doctor had decided that I wasn't eligible for a home visit and I was asked what I wished to do?
I replied I didn't know.
It was left at that and I was told someone from the other department would call me today about it.
I'm sure I read something which said that people with Anxiety could be offered a taxi, but the appointment desk appears to have no authority to decide this.
Just wondering if anybody has any advice on how to handle this?

Hi
I had my accident at x-mas, and busted my ankle I cannot drive and walk far.
I found out that my village has a community car scheme, which I have been using for all medical visits. Its cheap and very useful.
Also the doctors surgery does offer a car scheme.
The local hospital may also be useful in having a similar scheme.
Hows about that then!

Well that's something I didn't know CT and hopefully may be of use for myself & others in future.
Doesn't help with the question about getting ATOS to agree to it though so if anybody has some advice for that I'd be grateful.
They did briefly call me yesterday, to tell me they were still looking and would call me back. So there's still hope.
