I’m looking for a bit of advice from anyone who has experience with working while receiving PIP.
I’m currently on PIP and would really like to try getting back into some kind of work-from-home. I’m considering starting a small online business that would only require a few hours a day to begin with, mainly computer-based work, following guidance and training online.
My wife is currently the only breadwinner, and I’d really like to take a bit of the burden off her shoulders and try earning something myself again.
We’re not on any other benefits apart from my PIP, but I’m worried there may be pitfalls or things I should be aware of before attempting this.
For example:
• Could trying to work online affect my PIP?
• Are there limits or rules I should know about?
• Has anyone here successfully started self-employed or online work while staying on PIP?
• Is there anything you wish you’d known beforehand?
