The final update on the 11 month UC review was created by Onyx123
The review that went on month after month and supplying 4 years of bank statements, yesterday I received a letter in my journal saying from 2021 to 2025 we had been underpaid £1200. The money would be in my account within 3 days.
Before that sent me a letter that my capital beached £6000 on several occasions and I could face a fine or prosecution. We had always stated we had more than £6000 so that was a strange to me.
The stress they put me and my wife through is unbelievable.
Turned out good in the end.
The UC system is way too complicated.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

HI Onyx123
I am so glad that this has been sorted for you. I'm glad you are getting some money back, but it certainly doesn't cover the stress you have both had to endure.

Thank you Bis. I have always kept this forum up to date this review to help others what to expect. They questioned my wife on the phone and used dirty tactics to do a full review. That has back fired on them.
The guy doing the review did say to us we were good how we could supply all bank statements. I knew we had nothing to hide, but you do worry.
I am expecting round two before long. We only get a bit of UC towards the rent. My wife works and before I got ill I worked full time doing shifts 7 days a week as a hospital porter. I didn't want to stop but because I was diagnosed with Parkinson's they said I couldn't work with patients anymore. That was hard. Since I have also been diagnosed with degenerative spine disease I can't walk and would not be able to walk 10 miles a day like I used to for my job.
You have to resign yourself to the reality of the situation.
Because of the press and their attack on the disabled I have endure you could press a button on a keyboard in the pub. The most igronant thing the press reported for the number 10 press machine.
All over now Bis but I dread the next thing the government and DWP come up with.
