ESA to Universal Credit Migration was created by April-Rain
My partner is in the (support) group and he claims ESA for both of us.
I have filled in the ESA 50 form in the past for myself but never had a reply as to what group if any I am in.
A year or two ago I wrote for proof of my benefits but it just came back with my partners info.
I am also my partners Power Of Attorney.
What should I put on my Universal Credit form regarding what benefit I am on ie: am i claiming ESA or is it something else?
Whilst we're waiting for our Universal Credit claim to go through what happens regarding the RENT & will it eventually be paid or
do we lose out?
Rent & council tax are claimed on my partners Universal Credit form what should I put on mine.(So we don't claim twice for rent and
poll tax).
Thanks for any help.

Hi April-Rain
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
Your UC claim is a joint claim, you need to state that you are in receipt of ESA, the question does not allow you to elaberate, you will receive a phone call and then you can explain.
As your partner is in the support group you would be entitled to the LCWRA element, you may also be entitled to claim the carers element, do you claim carers allowance for looking after your partner?
When UC work out your UC applicable amount, it will include your housing element once it has been verified with your landlord
Council tax is not paid by UC, it is paid by your local authority.
Your UC claims will be joined, write in how much rent + service charges you pay.
