AR1 form, explain prompting? was created by Oali
Hi I'm currently filling out my AR1 form and have a little querie. I don't understand the difference between the 'prompting' and 'help from another' question. I know what prompting is & how a carer would do that but surely that can also be included in the other question as well?!

For e.g mum reminds & prompts me to take my medicine, if I forget. So do I just write that answer for both questions? It's a little confusing! Any help is appreciated!

Hi Oali

Yes write the same answer for different questions.

Prompting is someone reminding you to do something, help from another person is physical help to complete a task such as getting in and out of a bath.

You can use the same answer for multiple questions.

Thanks for clarifying. Would you recommend me writing the answer out again or just saying refer to question(insert number) ?

Hi Oali

I would write it out each time you need to use the sentence, don't make it too complicated by saying refer to question x if you are talking about question z.

Someone can call you over the phone to prompt you- same as an alarm. You may want to use supervise to indicate the physical intervention of another if applicable.
