Carer’s Allowance worry was created by Fulci Lives!
I have another query and sorry if it’s been asked before.
I recently received the dreaded migration letter and plan to start the process soon.
I currently get Income related ESA (joint claim with my partner)
I’m in the support group and have been since around 2012.
My partner is my full time carer but hasn’t ever claimed Carer’s Allowance.
My question is:
As we have never claimed Carer’s Allowance, will this be a problem for us when we migrate?
She hasn’t ever been expected to look for work as she cares for me full time.
Will this stay the same?
I’m worried they will decide she’s not my carer if she’s never claimed Carer’s Allowance.

Hi
Is she is eligible for Carer's Allowance then that will be fine as she does not need to claim it.
Also eligibility for the UC Carer's Element gives exemption from Work Related Activities as per below.

Correct...If she is eligible for Carer's Allowance then she will be eligible for the UC Carer's element.
