Hi Donna

I'm sorry to hear that your telephone assessment was not successful.

I would keep ringing and ask for a copy of the assessment. I hope there is one - because you should have received it by now.

It sounds as though you have already submitted a Mandatory Reconsideration request. Unfortunately, there is no time limit on when they may respond.

Usually, if someone's condition has worsened, they would put in for a 'change of circumstances' - in the hope that they would get an approved award. As you have an ongoing MR - and you don't currently have an award, I'm not sure whether you can do this - but I would ring and ask. If they say yes, do not just dictate it to them over the phone. Tell them you will put it in writing. You said that they didn't take any notice of your APS. i don't know what you wrote on your form or what you told them at the assessment, but I suspect that they might not have known what it is or the impact.

I'm assuming that you didn't get hold of your PA4 (Assessment Report) as that would give you more information on why you were refused. You can still ask the DWP to send you a copy.
