PIP Claim and holidays in last 3 years was created by WimbledonP
My partner is on contribution based ESA as he has a terminal tumour.

During the last 3 years, after COVID, we have spent just over a month abroad each year at the end of the summer. We knew time was short and wanted to make the most of things. His condition has now deteriorated, there is no further treatment and he's been referred by the Marsden to Hospice support. As he is below pensionable age, we are advised to claim PIP.

We are aware the PIP application will ask about holidays abroad in the last 3 years for more than 4 weeks.

Will the claim be turned down because of our recent holidays?

Should we leave it blank?

Hi WimbledonP

I'm sorry to hear about your partner and his terminal illness. Difficult for you both and your loved ones.

There's no easy way to give you the information below.

If your partner has been given less than 12 months to live, his PIP can be fast-tracked. The information is on the government website. www.gov.uk/pip/claiming-end-of-life

If he has more than 12 months to live - it will just go through the normal process. No one is going to be worried about you having been on holiday. Tell the truth on your form. The important thing is his condition now as you put in the application and his is affecting his daily living and/or mobility.

If you have any other questions come back and ask.
