Fit note was created by ZenZen
Hello,
I received my decision, regarding the WCA decision saying I am fit for work, (which I'm not).
I have put in a mandatory reconsideration. The fit note which I have ends soon,
Do you know what I am supposed to do, if they say I shouldn't have a fit note?
Regards
Zenzen

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi ZenZen,
This happened to me several years back, and I disregarded what they said and continued to put in Fitnotes to cover myself. They didn't accept them on the system, but you still had actual proof from the doctor to cover yourself. I'm not sure if things have changed, as this was in 2020 for me - so maybe one of our claimants may be aware of, or have experienced something similar.
Chris.

Arguably more of a ramble than guidance, but mrfrankzola.wordpress.com/2019/04/03/fit-notes/ may provide some answer if you can hack through it. With disclaimer that I'm a new claimant myself, to me at least it read as important for - if nothing else - the MR that sick notes continue, and if you gave previously gave consent for DWP to contact your G.P. you may want to pay fast attention to the part about withdrawing it... (Caveat emptor etc.)

Thanks Chris,
Yes, that makes sense, because if I am having a mandatory reconsideration, and If I don't put in a fit note, then it makes it seem like i'm ok, when i'm not.
