Making a claim for New Style ESA was created by Slick
Hi, I would be grateful for some advice. I've been providing care for someone for a continuous period of approximately 9 years. I'm in receipt of Carers Allowance and this provides me with Class 1 National Insurance Contributions. My own health is poor and I wanted to make a claim for New Style ESA. I understand that the eligibility criteria for New Style ESA is dependant on NI contributions. As Class 1 contributions have been provided by virtue of me being a carer do I meet the eligibility criteria for applying for New Style ESA? Regards
