hi, i wonder if anyone can suggest why when my husband's PIP review came back (he got 9 points) that there was no write up of how they arrived at this number of points? it was done on paper rather than by phone. we are going to request a PA4 but are we likely to be told that none was produced. surely there must be some form paper trail of how they reached their decision. i would appreciate your thoughts

Unfortunately, they used to produce a PA5 for paper-based reviews, but post-pandemic, this seems to have stopped, which makes it very difficult for people to challenge it if they disagree with the decision. One of our other members put in a Subject Access Request when this happened to them - insisting that they should see the notes that were made and were on file. If I remember correctly they got something back, but I don't know whether it was useful and I have tried to search for that post but can't find it.

i just had a telephone call, saying there was no PA5, she then read me bits and iecws of reasoning over the phone. better than nothing i suppose , so at least i had more of an idea of their thinking
