Current benefits and state pension? was created by dawsden
Hi all
I'm getting myself in a bit of a state. Can anyone offer any advice please?

I am on ESA including the severe disabled premium. Also PIP enhanced rate for both components (thanks to this marvellous site!) which has just been awarded me 10 years, also full H/B
I reach 66 in March. I have had the letter from, asking if I wanted my state pension, I said yes? thought I had to have it. Anyway since then, I have been receiving all kinds of letters from H/B and DWP. I can't make sense of any of them? The letters from the H/B are mainly just reduction statements. The one from DWP today, says my ESA will be reduced to £143 but when I google the question of esa and pension, it says esa stops?
Has anyone been in this same position?

Ultimately, I want to know if I keep my severe disabled premium after I my state pension, and if so do I need to reclaim? Also would I be entitled to Pension Credit with the full state pension, but no savings apart from £3000. My mental health is poor. This is all causing me such anxiety and stress. My hair has literally started to fall out. I don't know who to turn to:(
Thank you in advance x

Hi dawsden

I need to enquire first if you are a single person and if you live on your own?
