Hi ZombiesRock,
Yes that would be a good idea, to quote what Housing Benefit has informed you.

Me again. Sorry to trouble you...just filling in my bank account details and filled in my total savings amount then on the next page it's asking me if I have any backdated benefits payments. As my savings are mostly backdated benefits I'm not sure what to do...skip the question and say no or enter the amount I have left in savings again? Thanks so much.

Hi ZombiesRock,
I would input the full amount that you were awarded in backdated Benefits.

Hey David
Just wanted to let you know everything went ok and I was awarded UC. My savings have been disregarded. They were actually laughing and joking about how much I had left and how good I was with money, and they said that they would have been on several holidays with it by now. I said that's my lifeline for medical treatment and therapy. It's not going on luxuries! I'm still finding the whole thing hard to absorb and understand though with my fried PTSD brain. I can't concentrate or take in information at the best of times but this whole thing had been mind-boggling to me and stressful from the start. I do really appreciate your help on this though especially back when I was so distressed. Do you mind if I ask another question?

Hi ZombiesRock,
I am glad things are starting to improve for you. What is your other query?

Well, I was told by one person at the Jobcentre that my transitional payments will only be temporary and by another that it is paid indefinitely or until I declare a change in circumstances. So I wondered which is correct?
