Hello,
I’m confused I recently migrated from esa to unc per the notice received.
First I was told to have a work coach commitments interview. Then after complaining they scrapped that and said do a commitments pledge on the site no interview or job centre attendance.
Today I sign in and am asked

When you applied for Universal Credit we told you that you did not need to provide a fit note.

We have since found that you have not yet had a Work Capability Assessment outcome for your health condition.

A Work Capability Assessment is something we refer you for when you have an ongoing health condition that restricts your ability to work.

What this means

You must now get a fit note from your GP or healthcare professional, if you still have a health condition or disability which restricts your ability to work.

You are allowed to self-certify for the first 7 days when you tell us you are not fit for work.

The start date of your fit note should be the date you made your Universal Credit claim plus 7 days. For example, 14 March + 7 days would be a fit note start date of 21 March.

Report a fit note in your Universal Credit account.

I have come from the support group who don’t need to look for work due to my many health conditions. What are they really saying. Can someone please advise me.
I also couldn’t find letter I read you provided as a potential response.
Thanks

Hi Matt65,

What you are experiencing is an issue that is affecting hundreds of people at the moment and which the DWP have owned up to being caused by a " bug " in their IT systems.

You can send a message in your UC journal stating that you have been found unfit for work by the DWP and that you were placed in the ESA Support Group at the time of Migration to UC. Send your message twice by copying and pasting it. First send it to " A Payment " on the drop down list and then secondly to " Service Issue ". Sending it twice means that it is less likely to get lost " in the system".
