First claimed ESA in March 23, had telephone assessment June 23 and got the decision in August 23 - they rejected my claim. I appealed this decision and continued to be paid assessment rate until tribunal decision did not go in my favour and ESA was stopped April 24.
I reapplied as my conditions had worsened and I had a new condition but was told I had to wait 12 weeks. Which I did. I reapplied in July and after assessment been placed in support group.
I assume from yur post that you are talking about New Style ESA, for the first 13 weeks you are in the assessment phase, any additional component that you may be entitled to can be backdated to the beginning of the 14th week of your claim.
