HI. I PRESENTLY RECEIVE IRESA AND ALSO HOUSING BENEFIT FROM MY LOCAL COUNCIL. I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A MIGRATION NOTICE LETTER. MY QUESTION IS WILL THE LOCAL COUNCIL CONTINUE PAYING MY HOUSING BENEFIT UNTIL I AM MIGRATED TO UC. I HAVE SCOURED GOOGLE AND WELFARE RIGHTS SITES BUT CANNOT FIND AN ANSWER OTHER THAN VAGUE STATEMENTS ABOUT HB IN GENERAL. ANY SPECIFIC INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED .
When you apply for UC your claim for HB will cease.
