PIP review

I've had the test about the PIP review starting. It's a six year award ending next April.

I'm undergoing some investigations at the moment, in particular referral to a memory clinic
after some cognitive tests and blood tests with the GP. But the waiting time is 20 weeks and
they just put it in the last couple of weeks.

Also have a new neurological problem and a letter about that, but not sure it even changes anything
and the old problems are still there.

Also, having some lung function tests and x rays, but not a diagnosis, not sure what to do about these
things

Any advice welcome. Also, can you know upload e.g. GP medical records or is that to appeals service?
I heard something about this but not sure and it is several years since last review.

I'm not sure whether to mention any of this stuff or not. I guess I just fill in the boxes about conditions diagnosed so no, but there would be a space in the additional info section.

It's hard to know what is causing what symptoms when still undergoing tests etc and don't want to miss anything.

I'm guessing the online upload thing is for the appeals then and the DWP is all still paper?

You will need to explain how your condition/ diagnosis affects your ability to function as regard to the pip descriptors.
It is not enough to just state your health conditions to successfully be awarded pip.
You can use additional sheets of paper to explain how your conditions affect you.
You will need to put your NI number on each additional sheet.
You could consider getting some help from a local welfare rights service or the social prescriber at your gp surgery.

Have you read the guide here on PIP reviews? Also ask to have telephone assessment recorded, handy in case they misinterpret your answers then you can challenge any incorrect scoring of points. Good luck and keep an eye on the boards here for support.

Orangeblossom, if you can get into your medical records online, screenshot them, then print them off. Even if you’ve had no results yet I’d mention any future tests, as by the time you get your assessment the results will probably be through.
