Hello Darren, I hope you are well. I no it’s of little comfort, but I too have just received exactly the same text as you have had. It came two months after I sent off review documents, and I did not receive any texts from an “assessment provider” (such as ATOS or Capita), which leads me to think that the actual DWP alone made a paper-based assessment without even passing the paperwork along. Very odd. Anyway, I decided to phone up (even though the Text message said not to phone them), in order to request a PA5, and while I did not get through to anyone after holding on for one hour, as part of the phone-triage an auto-bot said something like: “ Your next PIP payment will be on Wednesday 21 June, it will be for £xx.xx.” The amount stated was the same as I would usually get, which I would not be happy about because I definitely fulfil the criteria for a better award. Having said that, maybe this automated piece of information only pertained to before. If it does pertain to the review award, then this is a neat trick to discover your award without anyone actually tell you. Essentially I have made myself even more confused because I rang them.

All best wishes to you Darren and I hope you come back to this thread to keep us all updated with your news!

Hello Porridge,

Thanks for the reply.

I received a letter this morning from the DWP with the results of my review. I continue to be awarded both mobility and daily at enhanced rate for an ongoing period (whatever that means, need to do research on that).

I am so pleased after 9 months of waiting, the anxiety over PIP has been considerable.

Hi DarrenL

It means a period of ten years. However, be aware that the DWP can decide to review a claimant at any time even with an ongoing award.

Hi Darren, that’s brilliant news, you can hopefully rest easy for the next decade! Maybe a new policy will have been made by then to leave all us people with permanent disabilities alone by then!

I also got my decision letter, which also kept my award the same, but I decided to challenge it because I have got solid evidence for both mobility and daily living.

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely relaxing summer ahead.
