Re Support Group Descriptor ?

Received a 'breakdown' of my ESA and which shows that I am now in the Support Group, so thank you for such a great forum with such helpful advice without which I am sure that I would still be in WRAG.
The original prognosis of 6 months from the date of my original WRAG decision remains and so I will have to start the whole process of completing an ESA50 in the near future. But I now know hopefully the way to go about completing the forms which will hopefully allow me to remain in the Support Group without all of the hassle of this time.
Thank you Benefiits and Work for such GREAT advice

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

ESA Headache wrote: I have taken the 6 months prognosis from a letter entitled ' your claim for employment and support allowance' - how your money will be paid. This gives a breakdown of the ESA and at the bottom of page states, this amount apply from ** may 2013 to ** november 2013, hence 6 months. This is exactly the same as when I was first awarded ESA wrag and when I phoned the DWP to ask I was told that is how long I have been granted ESA for and so then will have to complete another ESA50.
Hi ESA H,
I thought that might be the case, as 6 months is a short term prognosis for WRAG or SG.
These dates on the ESA award Decision Notice letter do not correspond to the recommended length of the ESA award (the prognosis)
The May date may be the start date, but the November date is simply for admin purposes, and is tied in with payment of The Xmas Bonus which is payable from the first pay week of December.
If you wish to know the prognosis, you can ring up the 0845 number on the letter, they may have it on-screen.
You can request the ESA85 or ESA85A also. If you have any problems obtaining these, you can make a written request :
ESA medical – what forms to ask for?
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
How often will I be reviewed

There is a chance that the prognosis is only for 6 months, and it could be pure coincidence with the November date.
The ESA Decision Notice letters definitely do not contain the prognosis of an award. therefore, it is more likely that the Call Responder that told you it was for 6 months, has misinformed you.
Have a look at similar scenario from today, Re : requesting the prognosis, etc. :
