I just wanted to thank you guys for the guide - having been awarded esa sincd 2010 but always in WRAG i was surprised when i called today to find out ive been put in SG this time!
Its only for 18 months but im glad its sorted.
I just wondered does that mean when i get letter in next few days that ill be automatically back dated to 20/4 when my assessment was for SG and also Enhanced Disability Premium as im now entitled to that too? Or would it be from day i get letter?

Many congratulations on the SG award.
As the review was initiated by the DWP, then the award applies from the date that the Decision was made, unless the Decision Letter says differently.
The Enhanced Disability Premium is payable not that you are in the SG, but only if you are receiving or are entitled to receive ESA(IR).

If you get the Severe Disability Premium then you are receiving ESA(IR) and should be paid the EDP without problem.
