  			 				Hi,

I just wanted to share my good news:

Yesterday I got a letter from the DWP saying that they had reconsidered my claim and after reading my GPs letter they are now awarding me PIP at both the enhanced rates till the end of October 2025

That's great news Lynsey! It is not often that a decision is overturned at MR, your GP's letter must have been compelling. Thanks for taking the time to let us know

Thanks. My GP is brilliant. I am very grateful to him for what he's done. I went from zero points to 28.

I really hope the DWP ask for their money back off Atos because I do think if they'd just asked my GP for a letter in the first place they wouldn't have wasted all that time and money on an assessment.

  			 				Very pleased for you.

It's encouraging news for me, because I am expecting an MR response, (Mental Health.) any day now, having sent them additional evidence. I got 7 points for daily, so, to go from 0 to success for MR is almost unheard of.

  			 				Sorry Lynsey

Meant to ask, how long after DWP had received your GP letter did you have to wait for award?

Well done Lynsey, very pleased to hear of your positive outcome after all the stress they put you through and just goes to show that you have to fight for what you're entitled too. The government pick on the sick and disabled thinking we are weak and will roll over, they should think again!!!

I have a feeling that they have bitten off more than they can chew with sending out invites to dla indefinite recipients, as my dla to pip transfer is now taking ages since. When I first sent my form in September I had a letter for an assessment within two weeks, my file went back to dwp in October as atos couldn't offer me another appointment, atos received it back 17/11, and I haven't heard a thing. When I ring dwp they just say your claim is with atos and to be patient, I dread the post everyday and after finding out in June that I had to apply for pip, it's been a stressful eight months!

I am so pleased that yours didn't have to be dragged out any longer, now you can put it behind you and concentrate on your health.

Best wishes to you
