Support Group from IB without medical

Thank you B&W for your help in making this happen. I have yet to find out how long this is for but have requested the Atos report before writing to DWP - I'm hoping for the full 3yrs. I was able to play the recovering from chemotherapy card - since this is true and my GP obliged by confirming this - even though this happened 20 years ago. I read every word of your physical and mental health guides ... some 150 pages ( in a deck chair, in the garden, over the summer) and tailored my form to your advice. Without doing so I would certainly have placed my foot firmly in my mouth.
Interesting information about data came to light - about what exactly is held on me - during this process and I received a very wordy technical document from Hackney's data protection officer saying that basically my IB file had probably been destroyed (as per normal practice) ... so that info I requested, about previous decisions and points awarded etc, couldn't be provided. This seemed very bizarre considering my case was live and a DM is supposed to refer to it when making a decision. I think I'm going to pursue this information. If you'd like a copy of what is current practice on data holding - according to this data protection officer - I would be happy to supply it (not sure how to send it you). Thanks again to all.
