Hi Kay,
I'm sorry that things didn't go as well as you hoped at the tribunal. However, depending on your reasons for claiming, your forgetfulness might actually have been in your favour!
All you can do now is wait for the decision, the letter should be with you in a few days.

Hi k,
I am sorry to hear that your DLA appeal was unsuccessful.
I have merged your post from today with your previous one for continuity.
I am not aware from your previous post if you do have an existing award of DLA in some form, or you were appealing an absolute refusal of any award at all.
You can request a written statement of reasons from the tribunal within one month of receiving the decision notice :
Tribunals – Requesting a Statement of Reasons
From this you may need professional advice to ascertain whether the tribunal has made an error of law in coming to their decision :
What is an Error of Law?
If they have, you might be able to appeal to The Upper Tier, legal aid is still available for appeals to The UT. :
Where to get advice?
See also :
Appealing to The Upper Tier, DR UK Factsheet
Whether an appeal to The UT is possible or not, as fresh claims for DLA are no longer possible, you could consider making a fresh claim for PIP. :
PIP Claims Guide. (2nd Link on page)
PIP information, including PIP Self Test
PIP Topic Thread in Spotlight Area
Hope this helps.

You can only appeal against a DLA Tribunal's decision if the Tribunal have made an 'error of law' which I note that my fellow moderators have provided links for.
I agree you need to request a 'Statement of Reasons' for the Tribunal's decision and when you receive it seek help from an agency/individual who is familiar with DLA Tribunal procedures.
The easiest way to do this is to use a 'search engine' such as Google and put in your town/city or post code for a professional benefits adviser, as regretfully we cannot provide advice on individual claims as we don't have access to your case files.
Good luck
